Sundays are amazing at SMLC! We offer traditional and contemporary worship, coffee house, children’s ministry, youth ministry, and more! We have several opportunities to get involved – musician, vocalists, greeter, usher, Sunday school teacher, youth group leaders, become a coffee house barista.
Throughout the week, there are many places to serve and get plugged in. We need people to help out in the office, preschool, trustee (handyman), funerals, Christian care, visitations, and more.
Small groups are the best way to get to know people and dive into God’s Word. Consider joining a group or helping to lead a group. We also have many other fellowship groups, such as Women’s, Men’s, and OWLS (Older Wiser Lutherans).
St. Mark partners with several organizations throughout the Valley.
Harvest Compassion Center
To serve people in need, Harvest Compassion Center (HCC) welcomes donations of personal hygiene, food items, and gently used clothing and shoes. Support HCC’s mission by volunteering your time, donating goods, making donations through their Amazon wish list, and more.
SMLC partners with Paradise Valley Community Food Bank to help feed families in our community. Bring your donations of food and personal hygiene items on Sundays, placing them on the cart next to the door of the sanctuary.
Throughout the year, SMLC teams volunteer at Feed My Starving Children to hand-pack meals, which are then donated to global partners so kids are fed and lives are saved. In 2022, 37 SMLC volunteers packed 13,608 meals across three serving events.

Over the course of a year 80,000 pounds of produce, filling 1500 orders, were serviced by 160 volunteers. This program will start up again on November 4. Come volunteer with us and meet some new friends!
Since 2015, members of SMLC have knit hats for newborns. In 2022, we donated over 1200 hand-knit hats to hospitals, Arizona Helping Hands, and the With Child Center. Join us in person or knit from home. For more information, please contact us.
