Mike Edge’s Favorite Restaurant: Paradise Valley Burger
Location: 4001 E Bell Rd #102, Phoenix, AZ 85032
Even though they were featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, they are still a hidden gem in North Phoenix. They’re locally owned, and their chefs are true artists creating new flavors and ways to make a burger.
Every week they have a “Special Burger” (such as a spicy burger for Cinco de Mayo) and a “Special Shake” (such as a Lucky Charms shake for St. Patty’s Day), but my favorite is the Brulee Burger. That’s right, they carmelize the bun, add pickled onions, and the best part – a fried egg on top!
Pro tip: Get the French Toast fries (only $5) as a dessert – or just by itself for a cheap date
Rendy Horner’s Favorite Restaurant: Valle Luna
Location: 16048 N Cave Creek Road
What’s the best thing about getting older? Becoming a senior to qualify for the senior menu at Valle Luna. On Tuesday nights from 3:00 to close it is the place to be!! Enjoy reduced prices on their great Mexican entrees. All you have to do is order a drink to enhance your choice of entree (I recommend their margaritas) to qualify for the reduced price of a full size entree. All the chips and salsa you can eat (Their chips are thin, crispy and hot)
If you aren’t yet 55 then enjoy .99 cent margaritas on Monday night. You can’t go wrong with a margarita and a delicious authentic Mexican entree. Regardless of when you go to Valle Luna you won’t be disappointed the food is delicious and the portion sizes often require a to go box!
Pro Tip: For groups of 10 or more make a reservation and ask for the special room for groups. Unless of course it is a night I plan to go to eat with friends 😉 I want to feel special and enjoy dinner in that room. Lol
Seth Kravig’s Favorite Restaurant: City of Spice
Location: 2945 E Bell Road, Phoenix AZ 85032
We are blessed to have a lot of wonderful food options in North Phoenix. With a diverse group of friends it can be a challenge to find one place that will accommodate a variety of palates and nutrition options. That is why City of Spice has become our go-to. Even if you are not an avid connoisseur of Indian food you will want to eat here. With carnivore, vegetarian, and vegan options as well as a diverse menu your family and friends will be happy.
Pro tip: The Palak Paneer and Garlic Cheese Naan is the best in the valley. For the newbie to Indian food get the Chicken 65. And whatever you do – order the Gulab Jamun for dessert.
Kathy Grandprey’s Favorite Restaurant: Starbucks
I’m a big fan of Starbucks. I love Mochas and Chai Tea. My favorite Starbucks in the area is the one at 32ndSt. and T-Bird. The servers always have a smile on their face even at the drive through. Once, I got to the store a few minutes before a special deal was going to start. I had already ordered my coffee, but they actually gave me the special price even though it wasn’t officially available!
Pastor Mike’s Favorite Restaurant: BJ’s Restaurant
I love this place. Cool Sports Bar Ambiance. Great service. Their pizzas and burgers are amazing. But my favorite by far… is the “Roast beef dip”. It’s one of the few places that really does a good job with this sandwich. Great experience all around.
